More Than Bedside Care


The nursing profession spans far beyond just providing bedside care.  Many nurses choose to work outside medical facilities at the start of their nursing careers, or even after many years of clinical experience.

Although nurses working in some of these areas may not provide direct hands on care, they continue to provide important medical services for individual clients and the general public.  
Ongoing review and analysis of medical documentation assist nurses in determining; standards of care, education guidelines, developing policies and procedures and in medical legal proceedings.  Which in turn ensures that safe, timely and quality care continues to be provided. 

Nurses working for health and disability insurance companies support clients by providing community programming and resource information and also by provincial and government funding.
